Case Study: Pluckley Farm Shop

The Client:

Pluckley Farm shop is based near Pluckley, Kent providing a wide range of locally sourced and fair trade produce.

The Project:

As a recently established business the company needed a low cost internet presence that could be easily found on the internet and would support other forms of marketing.

The project began by establishing what the aims of the website were and how they could be best achieved. The client had little time to spend on the website day to day and just needed something simple to attract potential customers and display opening hours and location. The website also needed to be fairly visible to search engines for related geo-targeted searches.

A brochure style website was therefore considered to be most appropriate together with some search engine optimisation work.

Keyword research was carried out, which was presented to the client with recommendations. Using these keywords, draft web page designs were then created in photoshop.

When the draft design was approved the website was built in google friendly html with css, with the following features:

  • Brochure Type Website
  • Search Engine Optimisation
  • Flash Content
  • Javascript Functionality
  • Custom PHP Contact Form
  • Google Analytics

Since going live the website has performed well in the selected geo-targed search terms, with good visitor numbers for a static website of this type.
