Case Study: Bright Sparks Bushcraft

The Client:

Bright Sparks Bushcraft speacialise in providing bushcraft courses in and around Berkshire. The company was founded recently by instructor Andrew Bryan.

The Project:

I was first asked to create a logo for Bright Sparks Bushcraft a few months before being asked to build the website.

The logo was quite challenging to create as the objective was to create a rather abstract symbol that represented the company. Eventually, the concept of the eye drawn in a cave art style developed, within which was built symbolism representing the core bushcraft skills of fire, water and shelter. This logo was then finalised and a logo pack was created for different applications of the artwork.

A few months later work commenced on the website, and a page design was developed that was bold and engaging with heavy use of graphic artwork. The website was then developed incorporating the following features:

  • Joomla! Content Managed Website
  • Blog & News Sections
  • Mailchimp Based Newsletter System
  • A Live Twitter Feed
  • Flash Content
  • Javascript Functionality
  • Custom PHP Contact Form
  • Google Analytics
  • Training:
    • Joomla! - Editing Existing Pages & Creating New Pages
    • Optimising Images For The Web
    • Google Analytics
